Puff Count is built with privacy as a core principle. The app works 100% offline, requires no account, and stores all your data locally on your device. Your quit journey is personal, and it should stay that way.

We Don't Collect Your Data

Puff Count is designed to work completely offline. Your health and nicotine usage data never leaves your device.

  • All quit progress, cravings, and achievements are stored locally on your device
  • No cloud sync or backup to external servers
  • No account creation required
  • No personal information collected
  • No analytics or tracking SDKs
  • No internet connection required for any feature

Data Stored on Your Device

Puff Count stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Nicotine profile (type: cigarettes, vape, IQOS, etc.)
  • Quit date and progress tracking
  • Daily consumption and cost information
  • Craving records and outcomes
  • Health milestone achievements
  • Game progress (Crush Addiction clicker game data)
  • Relapse history (if any)
  • App preferences and settings

Important: This data is stored using iOS native storage (Core Data) and is protected by your device's security features, including encryption and passcode/biometric protection.

Limited External Communication

The only external communication occurs for:

  • Subscription purchases: Processed securely through Apple App Store
  • Subscription verification: Periodic checks with Apple's servers to verify premium status

We receive only subscription status from Apple - no payment details or personal information.

How We Use Your Information

Since we don't collect your information, there's nothing to use. Your data exists only on your device for the purpose of:

  • Tracking your nicotine-free progress and streaks
  • Calculating health recovery milestones
  • Computing money saved and units avoided
  • Recording and analyzing craving patterns
  • Displaying achievements and statistics
  • Saving Crush Addiction game progress
  • Enabling premium features based on subscription status

Health Data Sensitivity

Your Health Data is Yours

We understand that nicotine cessation data is sensitive health information. That's why we designed Puff Count to work entirely offline. Your smoking history, vaping patterns, quit attempts, and health progress are never shared with anyone - not even us.

Notifications

Puff Count uses local notifications to support your quit journey. These notifications are:

  • Scheduled entirely on your device
  • Not transmitted to any external server
  • Fully customizable in the app settings
  • Can be disabled at any time through iOS Settings

Third-Party Services

Apple App Store

We use Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases. Apple handles all payment processing according to their Privacy Policy. We only receive subscription status information from Apple.

Puff Count does not use any other third-party services, analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs.

Your Rights and Choices

  • Full Control: All your data is on your device under your control
  • Data Deletion: Delete the app to remove all data permanently
  • Notifications: Enable or disable reminders in app settings or iOS Settings
  • Subscription: Manage subscriptions through your Apple ID settings

Children's Privacy

Puff Count is intended for users who are trying to quit smoking or vaping and is not designed for children. Since we don't collect any personal information, there is no data collected from users of any age.

Data Backup

Puff Count data may be included in your device's iCloud or local backups if you have iOS backup enabled. This is controlled by your device settings and Apple's backup encryption. We do not have access to your backups.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Since Puff Count works offline, any changes will be communicated through app updates. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
